Today was my first day back to work after being on winter vacation since the Friday before Christmas. I really appreciated this break, for I was able to accomplish a lot of things I been wanting to accomplish. (like finally creating this wordpress blog)
I spent my whole break indulging in SEO, but my profession is PPC. Although I love the creative side of search engine optimization, I was happy to be back in the “PPC World”.
Anyway, here are some things I had to do today to get back on track.
- Examine client’s month-end budgets & set new ones for the new year
- Keyword reports to make sure we are allocating the budgets correctly
- Keyword reports to find more negative keywords.
- Eliminate keywords performing way above the CPA (cost-per-acquisition)goals.
- Eliminate last month’s ad creatives that failed to hit expectations
- Study last month’s traffic (analytics)
- & caught up on a ton of emails.
That was just for today. Now that I am all ”caught up”, the work should really kick in.
