Perform a Google Lighthouse Audit Report in Chrome DevTools

Measure your site’s Performance, Progressive Web App, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO in just 4 clicks, thanks to Google DevTools Audits.

All you have to do is:

  1. Open a webpage
  2. Right-click > Inspect
  3. Scroll over to Audits in Dev Tools
  4. Click “Perform an Audit” then “Run Audit”

Since we now live in a mobile-first era, from there Chrome will render and test the mobile version of your website in a variety of mobile scenarios.

How your site performs on mobile devices & according to this tool plays a major role in overall rankings and visibility on & through Google.

It will throttle the CPU while loading your webpage to simulate signal fluctuations and check to see how your site looks in offline mode. It will also audit how various on-page elements would render on additional devices, even devices for people with disabilities or with limited technologies. So it’s important that your website performs consistently, across all devices and in any situation, especially as we approach the rise of IoT.
